their entry into the international design competition for the ‘kaohsiung maritime
cultural & popular music center
‘ in taiwan. the new facility is an integral part of
the major public investment and construction plan by the kaohsiung city government.

Bisazza Headquarters by Studio Carlo Dal Bianco (IT)

The Vicenza-based practice of architect and designer Carlo Dal Bianco has realised the lavish renovation of the Bisazza Headquarters located in the north-eastern Italian city of Alte near Vicenza. The entire project took nearly a decade to complete and the new mosaic-cladded premises draw inspiration from a spectrum of disciplines and historical movements including the architecture of Ancient Egypt, art by the Ukiyo-e master Hokusai or Neo-Classical works of Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

moshe safdie: artscience museum, singapore

artscience museum‘ by internationally renowned architect moshe safdie welcomed visitors
for the first time to its 6,000 square meter cultural center on 19 february 2011. located adjacent
to the marina bay sands – also designed by safdie – the project is the first museum dedicated to
the dynamic interplay between art and science. the circular design features ten finger-like
structures that extend out to create a lotus flower form.
